José J. Martínez Calderón (March 18/1943. México City) lives in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco since 1971.

José MARCA is a painter of self-taught formation. MARCA has his first contact with painting in Puerto Vallarta in 1975.

Participated as counselor for plastic art at the paint workshop for kids and adults organized by the Bellas Artes, Jalisco´s Art Department in 1979.
